1973 (Dec 31) AC/DC debuts at Chequers Club in Sydney, Australia on New Years Eve. The band is led by founding brothers Malcolm Young (age 19) and Angus Young (age 14)
1974 (Jun) AC/DC releases their first single “Can I Sit Next to You”.
1974 (Nov) AC/DC records first album “High Voltage” with new lead singer Bon Scott.
1975 (Feb) AC/DC Appears on TV,with new drummer Phil Rudd. AC/DC has their first headline concert!
1976 (Apr) AC/DC move to London.
1976 (Jun) AC/DC has their first major tour, “Lock Up Your Daughter”.
1977 (Nov) AC/DC tour hits USA. AC/DC opened for Kiss, Aerosmith, Styx, Blue Oyster Cult. AC/DC is co-headlining with Cheap Trick.
1980 (Feb 19) Bon Scott’s death at age 33 is a shock to the world. Later in the year Brian Johnson joins the band as lead singer.
1980 (Jul) AC/DC releases “Back in Black” there most popular album ever. “Back in Black” goes Platinum 19 times in the US and receives over 30 more gold and platinum awards world wide.
1983 (May) Phil Rudd leaves AC/DC and is replaced by Simon Wright.
1984 AC/DC headlines the “Monsters of Rock” festivals across Europe, with Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, and Motley Crue
1986 (May) AC/DC releases “Who Made Who”, which is the entire sound track for Stephen King’s “Maximum Overdrive” movie.
1989 (fall) Atlanta Falcons football coach returns the team jersey back to the original black colors in honor of AC/DC’s 25th anniversary. Drummer Simon Wright leaves AC/DC and Chris Slade joins as the new drummer.
1991 (Sep 28) AC/DC headlines “Rock Around the Bloc” in Moscow. Up to 1 MILLION people attend this single concert. The video of this concert is released the next year.
1993 (Jun) AC/DC’s “Big Gun” is featured in the soundtrack o the movie “Last Action Hero”
1994 Phil Rudd rejoins AC/DC.
1996 (Dec) A book about AC/DC is released “AC/DC: The Worlds Heaviest Rock”.
1999 (Mar 16) AC/DC receives the Diamond Award from the RIAA commemorating 10 million sales of the album “Back in Black”
2000 (Mar) AC/DC appears on Saturday Night Live (SNL) and performs “Stiff Upper Lip” and “You Shook Me All Night Long”.
2000 (Mar) AC/DC is inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. AC/DC had their hand prints made the same day.
2002 (Nov 8) AC/DC is voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
2003 (Mar 10) AC/DC is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.
2005 (Feb 22) Bon Scott is inducted into the West Australian Hall of Fame.
