Bathory was formed in the town of Stockholm, Sweden back in 1983 by
front man and song writer Thomas Quorthon. Bathory's style of music is
deep rooted in Black Metal and Viking Metal genres. Since their classic
self-titled debut album back in1984, Bathory has formed a cult following
of fans to date, and are recognized as one of the world's foremost black
Metal bands.
